BPCC ANNOUNCES SAVOIR FAIRE 67 LITERARY + VISUAL ART MAGAZINE RECEPTION, AWARDS

The Division of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (AHSS) at Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) is proud to announce the reception and awards presentation for Savoir Faire, Volume 67, the College’s juried student art and literature exhibit and magazine. The event will take place on Thursday, April 24, from 5pm to 6:30pm in the Donna Service Gallery, located inside the John R. McConathy Administration Building (Building A, first floor) on BPCC’s Bossier Campus, 6220 East Texas Street.

Savoir Faire is a celebration of artistic and literary excellence, featuring works from BPCC’s most talented students. Each year, students submit written and visual works, and a panel of qualified jurors carefully selects the top submissions to be featured in both the exhibit and the award-winning magazine. The project is led by BPCC faculty members Kelly McDade (Art) and Jonathan Brown (English), who work diligently to showcase the creativity and talent of BPCC students.

“We are incredibly proud of the students whose work is featured in Savoir Faire this year,” said Dean Mary Adams. “This magazine and exhibit highlight the artistic and literary talents of BPCC’s students, providing them with a platform to share their voices and creativity with the community.”

The exhibit will remain on display until May 5, and visitors can view it during BPCC’s regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. The reception on April 24th will include an opportunity to meet the artists and writers, view their work, and celebrate the award winners. This event is free and open to the general public.
