Graduation eligibility will be collaboratively determined by the Academic Division and the Office of the Registrar. Students who have achieved 90% to 100% of their curriculum in Degree Works will be reviewed by the academic division. The academic division will then submit the necessary documentation to the Registrar’s Office.
Students who have completed less than 90% in their Degree Works audit AND believe they are eligible for graduation should contact their assigned advisor or Program Director for further review.
BPCC will award credentials, including certificates, technical diplomas, and degrees, on the following dates:
- Summer 2024 – July 25, 2024 (No graduation ceremony)
- Fall 2024 – December 13, 2024
- Spring 2025 – May 9, 2025
Documentation of an earned credential is reflected on the college transcript, which serves as the official certification that students have been awarded the credential from the institution. Students may obtain an unofficial transcript through their BPCC LoLA account.
To request that your diploma or certificate be mailed, please contact the Academic Planning Office at graduation@bpcc.edu. In the email, please provide your full name, LoLA ID, program of study, semester/year of graduation, and mailing address.
All correspondence relating to graduation will be sent to your BPCC email account. Students can view their graduation status in LoLA or Degree Works.
We will do our best to process late applications in a timely manner. However, students who apply after the published deadline may not have their name listed in the program or receive their credential at commencement due to printing deadlines determined by the vendor.

Any candidate who is receiving an academic credential, including a certificate, technical diploma, and/or an associate degree may participate in the ceremony.
All graduates must wear graduation regalia, which include cap, gown, and tassel. Graduates can purchase regalia in BPCC’s Bookstore for $50. Contact the Bookstore at (318) 678-6009 for information regarding the purchase of your regalia.
The College does not allow custom stoles in the ceremony.
The College allows for modest decorating of the mortar boards. However, the decoration must be contained to the top of the cap, not hanging over the sides.
There is no rehearsal prior to the ceremony. However, graduates are required to arrive at the venue at least one hour before the ceremony begins. Upon arrival, staff members will be available to direct graduates to the check-in and line-up areas.
You are not allowed to carry personal items such as cell phones, purses, clothes hangers, etc. with you once the ceremony begins. You are encouraged to leave those items with a friend, family member, or in a locked vehicle. The College is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Graduates will pick up diplomas in the designated area immediately following commencement. If you are unable to attend graduation, you may pick up your diploma in the academic division (see below) beginning on the Monday after commencement.

According to College policy, you may earn more than one credential. Refer to the General Degree Requirements.

The cost to reorder a diploma is $30. The cost to reorder a certificate or technical diploma is $10. Graduates can email graduation@bpcc.edu to make the request. Please include your first and last name, Student ID, credential earned, email address, and mailing address.

The Business Office will notify you of a balance. The cost to reorder a diploma is $30. The cost to reorder a certificate or technical diploma is $10. After the payment has been processed, the credential will be ordered. You will by notified by email when it arrives to arrange pickup.
If there is a mistake on your diploma/certificate, email graduation@bpcc.edu a copy of the diploma/certificate. Indicate the error and provide the correct information along with your name, phone number, email and mailing address.

- Official
- For an official transcript, the fee is $10. Request your official diploma and pay the fee.
