BPCC INSTRUCTOR AWARDED 2019 EMS EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR

Bossier Parish Community College’s Jeff Anderson was awarded the 2019 EMS Educator of the Year by the Louisiana Association of Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technicians (LANREMT) at its statewide conference in Baton Rouge on June 21-22.

Anderson has been a BPCC instructor in the Division of Science, Nursing, and Allied Health for twelve years, and is the College’s Paramedic Program Director. He currently serves on BPCC’s Committee on Committees and Academic Grade Appeals Committee. Anderson was Faculty Senate President from 2011-2015.

“It is gratifying to receive this recognition from my peers,” says Anderson. “It validates the work we have been doing at BPCC to further EMS education in Northwest Louisiana.”

Founded in 1976, LANREMT’s mission is to enhance the EMS profession through advocacy, education and awareness, and works with many EMS associations in Louisiana to strengthen the EMS System and to ensure quality patient care. LANREMT is the only statewide voice for more than 20,000 EMS personnel in Louisiana.

The Bossier Parish Community College Paramedic Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Profession (CoAEMSP).
