BPCC WELCOMES THE NORTHWESTERN STATE UNIVERSITY CHAMBER WINDS

The NSU Chamber Winds will present a concert at 3:30 on Tuesday, Nov.13 in the Stephen W. Slaughter Theatre in Building C on the BPCC campus, 6220 E. Texas Street, Bossier City, LA. This guest artist series performance is free and open to the public.

The NSU Chamber Winds are a small group of selected music major students. They often travel to high schools around the South to showcase what NSU offers in their music program. The NSU Chamber Winds are directed by NSU Director of bands, Dr. Jeffery Mathews.

The afternoon program will include Little Symphony for Winds by Schubert and Reynolds, Contrafacta Hungarica by Ferenc Farkas, and Serenade in Eb, Op. 7 by Richard Strauss. This particular guest artist concert opens up the opportunity for BPCC Music students to meet the NSU director and ask questions about transferring to the 4 year college under a 2+2 agreement*.

For more information about this concert, contact the BPCC Music Program Director Dr. Gulya Chandler at 678-6429 or gchandler@bpcc.edu.

*2+2 Agreements: BPCC is proud to have several articulation agreements with Northwestern State University. These agreements outline the classes from BPCC that will transfer to the following NSU Bachelor’s degree programs.
