BPCC WORKFORCE & CONTINUING EDUCATION OFFERS NEW CRAFT BEER COURSE

Bossier Parish Community College’s Economic and Workforce Development Division is offering a new course, Craft Beer: Palate, Pairings and Proficiency, from 5:00pm-7:30pm on Sundays, November 4, 11, 18 and 25.

As a craft brewer, hobbyist, or server, the ability to speak to the nuances of your product is a key component of salesmanship. In this course, you will study a variety of serving skills to include the difference between taste and flavor, various types of malt, and participate in food pairings to further your ability to make knowledge-based suggestions to your clientele.

The course, held at Red River Brewing Company at 1200 Marshall Street in Shreveport, is taught by BJCP Certified Beer Judge and Cicerone Certified Server and is intended to help prepare people for the Cicerone Certified Beer Server exam. DISCLAIMER: This course is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Cicerone Certification Program.

Tuition for the course is $99, with a supply fee of $35 (Paid to Red River Brewing Company for beer/food pairings). Minimum Age is 21.
