BPCC Foundation, Inc.- Alumni Scholarship Application - Criteria and Procedures
Criteria:
The Foundation Scholarship Committee will award one (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000 per semester
The BPCC Full-time Student Scholarship is to be awarded to a person possessing the following merits:
BPCC Full-time Student Scholarship:
- Student must be an Alumnus of BPCC or have a child attending BPCC with a cumulative 2.000 GPA on high school and college work
- Student is enrolled in 12 credit hours (full-time) at BPCC
- Student demonstrates a special or unusual financial need as determined by the committee
- Student possesses talents that are desirable which will lend credibility to the College
- Student has other special existing circumstances which warrant the issuing of a scholarship
- Student must not be receiving any other type of financial assistance
Procedures for applying for Foundation Scholarships:
- Applicant must submit an application, a letter and all required documents to the BPCC Foundation Office by July 15 for the fall semester and by December 15 for the spring semester
- Scholarship committee reviews applications
- Foundation Office will mail award and denial letters to applicants
- Foundation Office will notify Financial Aid Office of recipient when the scholarship is awarded
