Theatre

The Theatre Program offers an Associate of Arts in Performing Arts degree with a concentration in Theatre, a Certificate of Technical Studies in Theatre, and Technical Competency Areas in Acting, Costume Design, Directing, Lighting Design, Scene Design, Stage or Theatre Management, and Theatre Technician. The Associate of Arts in Performing Arts (Theatre concentration) is one of the most exciting associate degrees offered at Bossier Parish Community College. The primary objective of this program is to provide students with the skills and knowledge to work in performance and/or technical areas of the theatre.

The Associate of Arts in Performing Arts with a concentration in Theatre is designed to attract students who

  • Want theatre training either as a two-year degree or as transfer credits to a four-year university.
  • Seek courses that can be applied to a variety of four-year degrees.
  • Desire theatre courses that provide additional training for those students already working in the entertainment industry.
  • Want to start work immediately in the industry.

Theatre Scholarships:

Full-tuition theatre scholarships are available. Contact the Theatre Program Director for more information on obtaining a theater scholarship.
