Rehearsal

Friday, March 8, 2013 / 6:30 p.m. / Theatre

Attire: Casual and comfortable (Bring the outfit and shoes to be worn in the pageant.)
Purpose: To familiarize the contestants with all aspects of the Pageant.

Pageant

Saturday, March 9, 2013 / 6:00 p.m. / Theatre

Contestants (accompanied by one parent or guardian) must be at the theatre no later than 5:00 p.m. dressed for pictures. Doors will open to the public at 5:00 p.m.

Attire: Sunday dress and natural hair
(NO pageant dresses, sequins, netting, petticoats, crinoline, makeup or jewelry except for small stud earrings.)
Judging:

Contestants will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • Overall ability to present a positive first impression in both personality and appearance
  • Ability to make eye contact with audience and judges
  • Outer beauty reflected from an inner beauty
  • Ability to relax and have fun
  • “Sparkle” and charisma

Photography

A professional photographer will be available to take pictures and will offer photograph packages at reasonable prices for purchase. A proof book will be provided to the Office of Student Life. Contestants will be notified when orders can be placed.
