Mission and Objectives

Mission

To provide the opportunity for students to earn college mathematics credits for transfer to four-year institution of higher learning; to provide preparatory math courses that enable students to acquire basic skills; and to offer the following degrees, certificates, and technical competency areas: Associate of Applied Science in Construction Technology and Management, Associate of Applied Science in Oil and Gas Production Technology, Certificate of Technical Studies in Construction Technology, Certificate of Technical Studies in Oil and Gas Production Technology, Certificate of Technical Studies in Industrial Control Systems, Technical Competency Area in Computer Drafting and Design, and Technical Competency Area in Manufacturing Technology.

Objectives

  • To maintain a high degree of academic quality in preparatory and transferable mathematics classes in order to enhance student success in mathematics and related subjects.
  • To provide adequate courses and curricula to meet the needs of changing technologies in the fields of Construction Technology, Oil and Gas Production Technology, Industrial Control Systems, Computer Drafting and Design, and Manufacturing Technology.
