The Beauty of Biotechnology

Upon the public announcement of the completion of the human genome in 2001, President Clinton said, "Today we are learning the language in which God created life. We are gaining ever more awe for the complexity, the beauty, and the wonder of Godís most divine and sacred gift." The Director of the Human Genome Project Dr. Francis Collins added, "It is humbling for me, and awe-inspiring, to realize that we have caught the first glimpse of our own instruction book, previously known only to God." These pronouncements echo the words of Albert Einstein when he said, "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."
