Division of Economic and Workforce Development Non-Academic Scholarships

Continuing Education and Workforce Solutions Scholarships:

  • These scholarships are funded by proceeds from the annual BPCC Spring Swing Golf Tournament.
  • A student who is enrolling at BPCC in a Workforce & Continuing Education non-credit certificate program or one who is pursuing training leading to a certification or licensure is eligible to apply for this scholarship. This scholarship does not apply to “recertification” courses.
  • Applicant must submit the following for funding consideration:
    1. Scholarship Application.
    2. A copy of student’s current school or state issued I.D.
    3. Letter explaining the circumstances surrounding requested funding.
    4. Reference letter from one of the following: employer, teacher, etc.

  • Student must not be receiving any other type of financial assistance and must be in good standing with BPCC.
  • Student must be recommended by the Workforce Scholarship Review Committee.
  • Requests for scholarship funding are reviewed as received. They should be submitted no later than 2 weeks prior to the certification course start date.

Procedures for applying for Continuing Education and Workforce Solutions Scholarships:

  • Applicant must submit all required documents to the BPCC Workforce Scholarship Coordinator no later than 2 weeks prior to the course start date (see application).
  • Scholarship committee reviews applications.
  • Applicants/Recipients are notified of award approval.
