- Applications of Physics. (3-3-0)
Prerequisite: MATH 099 or Math ACT of 19
A course of study in applied physics with emphasis on the principles of mechanics and fluid mechanics, as applied to healthcare professions. Emphasis is placed on utilization of mathematics for application and problem solving.
- General Physics I. (3-3-0)
Prerequisite: High school physics or PHSC 105 or PHYS 101 and MATH 112 or MATH 129.
The introductory semester of a two-semester problem-centered study in general physics. Designed for science and pre-medical majors requiring algebraic- and trigonometric-based solutions. Includes a study of mechanics, heat, and sound.
- General Physics I Laboratory. (1-0-3)
Prerequisite: Previous credit or current registration in PHYS 201.
Laboratory experiments to accompany PHYS 201. Withdrawal from lecture mandates withdrawal from laboratory.
- General Physics II. (3-3-0)
Prerequisite: PHYS 202.
A continuation of Physics 201, this course will acquaint the student with the general laws
that govern the behavior of waves, light, sound, electricity, magnetism, and nuclear
radiation and apply these laws to solving problems.
- General Physics II Laboratory. (1-0-3)
Prerequisite: Previous credit or current enrollment in PHYS 202.
Laboratory exercises that support and reinforce PHYS 202 lecture. Withdrawal from lecture mandates withdrawal from laboratory.
