Students interested in a bachelor’s degree will find that many courses completed at BPCC will transfer to other colleges. College catalogs from other schools should be consulted, and courses taken at BPCC must be evaluated by the degree-granting institution for acceptance in the student's degree program. The student advisors are also an information source concerning transferability. Mission of the Division of Business and Computer ScienceThe mission of the Division of Business and Computer Science at Bossier Parish Community College is to provide an outstanding faculty and educational facility to foster a creative environment for collaborative learning and innovative thinking for the citizens of Northwest Louisiana. We will impart excellent instruction in the areas of accounting, business administration, computer information systems, culinary arts, economics, legal secretary, management, marketing, and web design. Our division will be at the forefront of technology, business and culinary arts to prepare our students to succeed in a dynamic world, and we will serve our community through cooperative partnerships with local businesses and organizations. Information on Certified Professional Secretary Credit ExaminationUp to 18 hours may be awarded to a student who successfully passes the Certified Professional Secretary examination and certified Administrative Professional examinations, which are administered by the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
