Significant factors for dating, successful marriage, martial adjustment, and family living.
- Introduction to Social Work/Social Welfare. (3-3-0)
This is a survey course designed to introduce the student to the structure, history, theory, and practice of social work and the social welfare system in the United States. For students considering social work as a major, the course serves as a foundation to prepare the student for future, more specific courses. It also introduces potential areas of service in their careers. For non-majors and/or undecided, it provides information on social problems in society and on community services available to them or those they serve in their careers.
- Race, Class & Ethnicity. (3-3-0)
The study of subcultural differences between males and females and between various racial and ethnic groups, of the transmission of cultural differences from generation to generation, and of the perpetuation of class, gender, and racial differences.
