- Humanities I. (3-3-0)
An interdisciplinary course including a study of the art, music, history, and literature of the world from the beginning to the Renaissance.
- 202:
- Humanities II. (3-3-0)
An interdisciplinary course including a study of the art, music, history, and literature of the world from the Renaissance to the present.
- 202H:
- Humanities II Honors. (3-3-0)
Prerequisite: Admission to the BPCC Honors Program.
Independent critical thinking skills and cultural proficiency emerge from the learner’s focus on a specific topic or set of topics related to the interdisciplinary study of art, music, literature, and history. Specific topics vary from semester to semester. This honors course requires extensive reading, written analyses, and multimedia projects.
- 203:
- Film and Culture. (3-3-0)
An introductory course in understanding the appreciation of film aesthetically, as an art
form, and culturally, as a reflection of social values. Knowledge of film and of literature
will be enhanced by the readings which accompany the presentation of each film.
