The Content Area has 4 default areas to add your course content to. You may add additional content areas by going to Course Options and selecting Manage Course Menu. All content area are identical and can be used to locate any curse information that you chose to make available to students.

BPCC Policy: All online courses must have a copy of, or a link to the master course syllabus, Course Section Information Sheet, and the course calendar located in Course Information.

Add Item: Items are general pieces of content added to a course to which items may be attached.

Add Folder: Folders are useful for organizing and structuring content in a Content Area.

Add External Link: Links to outside Web sites may be added to Content Areas as External Links.

Add Course Link: Course Links are used to link to other items within a course.

Add Test: Tests built in Test Manager are added here so that student can take the test.

 

Under the Select Box on the upper right hand side, you have the following items that can be add to the course content area. Select the item you would like to add and then select Go.

Select Learning Unit

Learning Unit: Learning Units enable Instructors to set a structured path for progressing through content within a course.

Survey: Surveys built in Survey Manager are added here so that student can take the survey.

Assignment (View/Complete): Assignments allow Instructors to create coursework and manage the grades and feedback for each Student separately. Assignment (view/complete) is tied directly to the course gradebook.

Discussion Board: A link to the Discussion Board page or to a specific Discussion Board forum can be added directly to the course content area.

Chat: A link to the Collaboration Sessions page or to a specific Chat session can be added directly to the course content area.

Virtual Classroom: A link to the Collaboration Sessions page or to a specific Virtual Classroom session can be added directly to the course content area.

Group: A link to the Groups page Tool can be added directly to the course content area.

Tool: Links to specific Tool can be added directly to the course content area.

Podcast Episode: Podcasts are added to the content area.

SCORM Content: SCORM compatible files are added here.

Safe Assignment: Assignments that use the SafeAssign plagiarism prevention service are added here.
