

The ACT Center is a high-stakes testing center that provides industry-based testing services for the workforce, credit by examination and other academic testing services, and proctoring services. An appointment is required for all services, and appointments should be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
The BPCC ACT Center has contracted with several national companies to offer local proctoring for national exams. Professional licensure testing such as Social Worker Board (ASWB) exams, Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), and International Code Council (ICC) Contractor and Inspector exams are offered at the center. Appointments are generally made through the individual testing company using the links below.
Registration fees are paid to each testing service with the exception of and ServSafe Certiport testing.
Earning credit for the knowledge you’ve gained through work experience, independent study, or other sources is a quick way to work your way through a college degree. We offer the following testing services for BPCC students and to the general public. Many colleges in the Ark-La-Tex recognize the national exams listed below for college credit. Please check with your college advisor to see which exams might be applied toward your college degree.
The College-Level Examination Program® or CLEP provides students of any age with the opportunity to demonstrate college-level achievement through a program of exams in undergraduate college courses. Please see the BPCC Catalog and your advisor before registering for a CLEP Exam.

The DANTES Subject Standardized Test® or DSST The DSST® Program is a nationally recognized testing program that gives you the opportunity to receive college credit for learning acquired outside the traditional college classroom. Please see the BPCC Catalog and your advisor before registering for a DSST Exam.

To register for a DSST test, students should contact the ACT Center for more information or use the online registration form.
DSST testing is available during the ACT Center's normal hours of operation by appointment only with the exception of special dates during registration when DSST testing is available without an appointment. These dates are included in the Academic Bulletin available prior to each new semester.

As a member of the Consortium of College Testing Centers (CCTC), the testing center provides services according to the standards set by the National College Testing Association. We monitor our testers by manual observation and through multi-camera Audio/Visual recording. Let us know if you need the following:
